I was born and raised until the age of 8 years old in Northern New Jersey when my parents moved our family to Durham NC. I have called Durham home for over 30 years.
In the midst of me discovering what my dreams really were and what would make me truly happy, my maternal grandmother Flonnie passed away in January of 2018. She was a phenomenal woman, full of style and grace. She was the vessel in which my love for style, culture, design, and people derived.
Still unsure of how to fuse the things I was passionate about into one thing that could give me something to wake up for and also make a living, I accepted a Contract Specialist position that landed me back in New Jersey for a few years.
It was there that I realized no amount of money could make me happy if there wasn’t a genuine love and passion for the task. Staring at an excel sheet with no human interaction was not my passion!
I found that genuine love and passion in Real Estate and began practicing in the ridged New Jersey market. Real Estate- allowed me to build relationships and be purposeful. It allowed me to inform clients with the knowledge to build solid foundations through homeownership and investments.
I could also take that work a step further by offering my clients more- whether it's staging a seller's home or offering buyers design options.
I have since decided to return home to North Carolina to continue doing what I love, in the place I love and know best- from the schools, neighborhoods, and entertainment. It only made sense. So in an ode to my grandmother... Fly Flonnie Moves.
